Concentration in Russian and Russian Minor
World Languages offers a Concentration and Minor in Russian. See Degree Requirements for more information about the courses needed.
The Russian Program in World Languages at USF seeks to prepare its students to understand the language, literature, and culture of Russia. One of the program's primary goals is to prepare students to be able to interact productively with Russian speakers. The program seeks to develop the highest possible level of proficiency in the Russian language in each of its students as a foundation for both academic understanding and everyday communication. In order to achieve this goal, the Russian Program treats language and culture as an inextricably bound up nexus that has to be inculcated at every step of the learning process.
In addition to the Concentration in Russian, we also offer a Minor and it is an essential part of an undergraduate Certificate in Russian and Eurasian Studies whose other principal participants include History and Government and International Affairs.
