Bio

Since 2000, Ippokratis Kantzios has been with the University of South Florida, where he is the Peter and Sophia Kourmolis Associate Professor of Greek Language and Literature. In addition to his monograph on the evolution of archaic iambus, he has presented numerous papers at professional conferences in the United States and abroad and has published articles on Greek poetry and drama. Currently he has been concentrating on the archaic poet Alcaeus, with occasional digressions into the French reception of the classical tradition.
