November 3, 2010 -- Study Abroad in Argentina Information Session
USF invites you to learn about the opportunity of a lifetime in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Join Dr. Pablo Brescia for a study abroad information session for his summer 2011 program. He will describe how you can make the world your classroom and gain applied experience in Spanish language, culture, and politics through the lens of some of Argentina's greatest literature. The film tapped into the German Zeitgeist of that era, featuring in its narrative and highlighting in its visuals a dystopian vision of dehumanizing machines, a transgressive fembot (gynoid), class warfare, and a generational conflict transposed from the Expressionistic theater onto the screen,” said Margit Grieb, a professor in the Department of World Languages, who regularly teaches a course on silent German film at USF.
